You & I is a project focused on showcasing models’ true identities. Often, as a model, your job is to bring other people’s visions to life. Within this project, my goal is to celebrate who you truly are and create a look showcasing your authentic self.

Throughout my career, I have developed very meaningful relationships with models. Because of this, they would share with me terrible experiences they had while working in the industry. This felt unfair and demoralizing so I wanted to show appreciation for who models really are through my photography and cosmetology skills.

This series was designed to be a year long project composed of twelve models. Each shoot was designed to be inimitable and personalized for each model with key details. During preproduction, the model and I would discuss their background and what makes them who they really are. After gathering this information, we would decide the styling and lighting to best represent them and their story. A face chart would also be drafted to visualize the desired make-up look.

My hope is that this series resulted in the models learning to fully love themselves for who they truly are.
